Random Thoughts

Politics in the Philippines is horrible. After being elected and proclaimed, majority of the newly seated senators are now strategically planning their next move: that of having the right number of votes to impeach the President. Instead of planning on how to come up with laws to address the issues on poverty, terrorism, education, health and the rest of the basic problems we continue to face they are on the heels to feed their personal interests AGAIN. I don’t know if the time will come that politicians will think about the country and its people instead of their own personal agenda.

The problem is not with Paris Hilton or with Lindsay Lohan. These two ladies with the rest of the troubled Hollywood princesses are victims of time, fame, youth, money, and media. These girls need guidance and a tremendous amount of IQ and EQ that would teach them that life isn’t the way they think it is.

It’s the NBA finals. It’s a head to head between San Antonio Spurs and Cleveland Cavaliers. There’s Tim Duncan for the Spurs and Lebron James for the Cavs. I don’t really have a bet since I don’t like the two teams. But after watching the first game in San Antonio, I think I will be rooting for the Cavs. It’s because they looked pitiful earlier in the court. I have this tendency or maybe a soft side to underdogs. And in this match Cavs sure looks like they are being bullied around.

In the US, it’s a battle of debates between the Republican and the Democrats. As observed, it looks like Faith and Politics are the two most pressing issues being debated by the candidates including Hilary Clinton herself. I watched a report in CNN about Hilary’s chances of winning this election and a brief look into her family and religious backgrounds. It’s quite interesting really. This should have been done here in the Philippines with the recent elections. It would be one way of really knowing who the candidates are and passing judgments upon them whether they can truly be good leaders of this corrupt-filled country. aheir'mensoud amount of is. teach them that life isn'on how theking at their good the rest of the troubled Hollywood princesses
