Little Rascal

On my way to my friend and former law school classmate's rented unit, a little boy of elementary school age rode the jeep where I was riding while the same was waiting for the green light. He first asked for money from a couple just in front of where I was sitting. Then he suddenly pulled the lady's necklace and jump right off the vehicle. It was so surprising, so quick that the lady even failed to immediately react. How dare that boy! How dare his irresponsible parents! How dare the law enforcers who cannot put a stop to the petty as well as big criminal acts around this city. The saddest part is the fact that the people get used to it. That lady-victim just told the insensitive passengers inside the jeep not to worry since the necklace taken was fake. I don't think that was fake since she said to her boyfriend that it was a gift from her lolo. Sadly, she was willing to cover up for that devil little kid. If we continuously do nothing about these petty crimes the petty thieves will develop the courage to continue such acts because they now that there will still be impunity.

I will pray for this little devil. May God be the one to deal with him.
