Shoe Talk

I had been planning to buy a new pair of shoes and only last Saturday did the same materialized. When I saw the shoes I wanted I asked for a size 6 or 7 from the sales lady. While waiting for her to get the size I asked for, I looked around the other shoe stands. I saw and liked another one so I was torn between which shoes to buy - the sandals or the close flat one. As I cannot really decide I settled to buy both. Now, I have to save up again since I impractically spent half of my savings on both shoes. I am not vain because I chose not to be. I am not because my budget can't afford it.

The havaiinas in the mall were on sale. Ladies flocked the store like its some night market. I am no
t really a big fan of such flip flops especially the one with the heels or as they say the "high look." It looks very plump. I cannot help wondering why many short and chubby women especially in my school wear those. It makes them look more stout. They even couple it with neon colored tops to match the shocking brightness of their havaiinas.

Don't get me wrong I also have a pair of havaiinas which I got for a bargain. My sister sold me her original havaiina slippers whi
ch was ordered from the States for P200. Haha imagine that! P200! I even paid it on installments since that time I was as broke as a rat. Good thing, she's the most plain and simple person in the world. She'd prefer her old leather sandals for the havaiinas. But unlike the plump looking havaiinas i detest, mine is the flat one (spartan looking, haha the cheap ones you buy in the market and which you use when you play "tumba-lata"). But last week, I was able to buy a pair of slippers only for P30 which looked like the typical havaiinas. I don't mind wearing them at all. It's not the price that matters to me but the comfort it gives my feet. (Excuses excuses, but honestly, it's the only ones I can afford right now. Cheapskate mode.)
