Oooopsss... Pacquiao did it again...

''I tried to give a good show tonight, I hope people liked it.'' -Manny Pacquaio

At long last, the much awaited Pacquiao-Barrera bout was concluded yesterday. It was a long 12 rounds fight. Long, since with the Pacman, everybody expects a less than 5 rounds game, with his knock-out punch style. But yesterday was unlike many of his games. It was less exciting and I personally, was dismayed when there were no thrilling KO scenes. I guess many expected and wished for one. But still, no fault should be put on Manny because what is important is that he made the country proud again. It is not easy to bring one's country's name in an international fight. Much more, make the Philippines look good despite the recent "desperate housewives racy issue."

With that issue, well, all I can say is that let's move on, and accept the apology given no matter how insincere it may seem. As the saying goes "better part of valor is discretion." Let's be man enough to accept that what is important is that we know in ourselves that we have good medical schools in this country. I have a sister who is studying medicine here and she is not affected at all by that negative statement. This is because she knows that the same is not true. She knows that we have better doctors than all the rest of the world have because our doctors can diagnose complex diseases even with inadequate medical tools and they deal with more serious and rare cases than others do.
