Even before my aunt woke me up at 7am, I was already half-awake. I felt piss on my pj's. Nope! It's not my piss. It's the dog's piss when he excitedly jumped to the bed and made his pissing. He really did piss me off.
Today is election day for senatorial, congressional and mayoralty seats. And as part of the many filipinos who truly and genuinely want a change in the government, I exercised my right of suffrage this morning with my aunt and her driver. Instead of having myself registered in the baranggay where I lived, I registered here in the farther part of Davao so that my aunt would have somebody to accompany her.

Wherever I am or who I am with I would never pass up this opportunity of having to vote. Even if all the rest are accepting bribe money, or killing themselves I would still sincerely cast my vote for whom I believe would start a brand new tomorrow for this country.
Admittedly, it is difficult to distinguish who is a sincere candidate and who is not. For all I know, all have their selfish
agenda in entering into politics but at least there are those who are lesser evils. So if you asked me how I chose the candidates to vote, I indeed chose those whom I think are lesser evils. By this I mean those who don't always appear on TV for media mileage, those who are not always in the news, those whose smiles are not picture-perfect, and especially not those first-timers who jump right into one of the highest positions in government politics. They should learn modesty. Weren't they taught how to start small and rise up through experience and performance?
Anyway, if there is some flicker of hope to this country, that would come from those who are sincere in casting their votes this election. So please don't waste your vote. You may be one of the very few who could help this country.
