Gone Abroad

My cousin and his family are by this time inside the airplane on the way to their adopted home. They are nurses in Ireland. They just had their vacation here. It's sad because they cannot spend Christmas with us. They have to go back to work tending patients in the hospital. It reminded me that many Filipinos have to suffer the loneliness of being away from their loved ones just to work and earn a living. It sucks to think that they have to go abroad just because staying here would not place any decent food on the table.
