I appreciate the fact that in the office poor and helpless people are given opportunities to seek free legal assistance. Just the simple act of telling them that they need not worry much because their problems can be given solution somehow appeases them. Their tears and smiles can really warm hearts. Earlier, a woman cannot control her tears while she was telling me that she doesn't have the money to pay the fines imposed upon her. She intimated that her husband is a jeepney driver and his wage is just enough to make ends meet. She doesn't know where to look for money to pay the complainant. Sadly, I can only give legal advise but not financial aid. It just makes me realize how fortunate I am to have the things I WANT in life when these people cannot even have what they NEED.
