I wasn't able to exercise my right of suffrage today. I was faced with a much more serious dilemma - my final exam in labor relations. I had to pass this one or else I'll be back in Fr. Gus' energy-consuming classroom next year. I don't know about my classmates but whenever I'm in Fr's class I feel like all my strength are lost. He makes me feel the brightest student after his lectures but when it comes to the exams he makes me feel like I'm the dumbest. It's ironic because he is a priest but almost everybody in law school is scared at him. I see him as the executioner. The filterer. He filters the deserving from the undeserving. He can make you stay one more year in law school causing you to delay your dreams of becoming a lawyer. He can make you doubt about yourself, your skills, your capabilities. But he can also make you feel good about yourself when you pass his subject and excel over his challenges. It is as if you can pass any other subjects even the bar exams.hehe
I just observed that the Duterte's are building a political dynasty in Davao. The father is still the incumbent, the daughter has just been voted as Vice-Mayor, and the son is a candidate for this year's barangay elections. ;D
I feel insulted by the executive clemency given to Erap. Isn't it too early to get him off the hook? He haven't even served yet the sentence adjudged upon him by the SB. The president made a mockery of the justice system when just months ago we were all praising SB for showing that the system still works. She should have delayed this plan so that all the cover-ups she's been doing should not have been obvious. Indeed, only in the Philippines.
